Miller Wine Works 2004 Sage Canyon Syrah

Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate, gave this 2004 Sage Canyon Syrah a Rating of 91 points.
It has been recommended that this excellent Syrah will peak at 10-12 years old, so now is the perfect time to
open a bottle. Normally priced at $45 or higher, if you can find it.

On sale now at a super low price of just $35.

Winemaker Notes:
The 2004 Miller Wine Works Syrah, Sage Canyon Vineyard, Napa Valley opens with a touch of caramel spice and violet on the nose, ceding to hints of earth and minerality.  This is confirmed on the palate, with the addition of ripe black raspberries and sour cherries in combination, all laced with threads of tar and anise in a whirl of mouthfilling excitement.  A touch of oak and exceptionally integrated tannins carry this wine to a graceful finish now, but which will only improve with time ….. provided you can wait !

At Garrett's Emporium our goal is to find boutique wineries, select interesting wines that may not be readily available, and offer them to you at a reasonable cost.

Regrettably we are only able to ship to California locations at this time.

Passing of Donald L. Garrett

The End of an Era
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Donald L. Garrett on June 11th 2013. In 1973 International Electronics Unlimited was formed by Don Garrett and 2 partners. With Don's leadership and entrepreneurial spirit the business flourished, and within 10 years he became the sole owner of Garrett Electronics.

The business has gone through many phases over the past 40 years, but the integrity and ingenuity of Don Garrett has always been at the heart of Garrett Electronics Corp. Over the past 20 years he established a standard for quality and innovation in his creation of engineering lab kits, still unmatched in the industry. He worked tirelessly over the years to improve on the design, labeling and packaging of kits. Garrett Electronics was the first, and is still the only company, to offer to splice on leaders and tails to make the reels truly production ready, and make parts available to ship the same day. His brother Wayne Garrett assisted in the development of the technique and work station to splice and add the leaders and tails. Don reigned as President of the company for 38 years with his daughter Donna joining him in 2000. While he continued as owner, Donna took over as President in 2010. Don continued to offer his recommendations right up to the week before he passed.
In 2006 Don created Gifts Gone Goumet and Garrett's Emporium. Throughout his life he had a love of fine foods and wines. This venture was a joy to him, an opportunity to select his favorite foods and wines, and share them.
He will be fondly remembered by his many loyal employees, some who have been with the company for over 15 years, and by his daughters Donna and Lynne, who have done their utmost to retain the level of integrity in their business relationships, which their customers have come to expect.
