White Rhône-Style Wine from Core Wine Company

Garrett's Emporium now offers an excellent full bodied white Rhône-Style Blend from the Core Wine Company. This wine is made from grapes of Camp 4 and Rodney's Vineyards, two vineyards in Santa Barbara County divided by the San Rafael Mountains near the communities of Cuyama and Santa Ynez. It is a blend of 70% Grenache Blanc, 29% Roussanne and 1% Marsanne. Santa Barbara Country which is part of the California Central Coast AVA is a major wine producing region. The terrain and climate of inland areas of the Central Coast are very similar to the Rhône River Valley of Southern France and Spain. Many California winemakers like Dave Corey are producing outstanding Rhône-style blends.
